Hi. My name is Julie Chatham, and I’m a professional portrait photographer with more than 20 years of experience serving clients in the Boulder & Denver region of Colorado.

I’m a married mom of two girls and a Boulder native (I graduated from Fairview High and later the University of Colorado at Boulder). I love Boulder and feel fortunate to feel that way about a place I’ve lived for most of my life (I know not everyone can say that about their hometown).

Along with my work as a portrait photographer, I’ve photographed the nuptials of hundreds of couples over the years but now only shoot a few elopements or micro weddings a year.

Besides my family and friends, I’m very fond of France, traveling, hiking, IPA beer, Rio margaritas, film, music, podcasts, and books.

I love photographing people and telling stories with my camera. I prefer imperfection over perfection, messiness over order, and the genuine over the pretty.
