Boulder Engagement Photos

I’m a Boulder engagement photographer (born and raised) offering Boulder engagement photos shot in BoCo or in surrounding areas like Golden, Lyons, or Gunbarrel (except for the the desert-looking one… I shot that shoot at the Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado).

I offer engagement photography to couples seeking artful, relaxed, emotive, and authentic photos of themselves and their betrothed in the Boulder area. As one of Boulder’s best engagement photographers (and someone who’s been shooting engagement sessions for more than 20 years), I love the variety of terrain, scenic backdrops, urban features, and natural light that Boulder and the surrounding communities have to offer photographers and their subjects. It almost seems to good to be true (hence the 25 square miles surrounded by reality knock :).

Location

Boulder is truly one of the most beautiful areas in all of Colorado that you could hope to have your engagement photos captured. Whether you do them at Chautauqua Park, Flagstaff Mountain, the Boulder Reservoir, Pearl Street Mall, the quaint towns of Nederland or Lyons, or at one of the numerous open space trails that dot Boulder County, your pictures are guaranteed to feature some of the most breathtaking and iconic landscapes in North America.

Connection

But location only gets you so far. For spectacular engagement photos, you need CONNECTION. It’s how you and your beloved relate to one another that will make the photos great. It’s that animating energy – that laughter, those smiles, the playful kisses, that joie de vivre – that will make your engagement photos truly memorable. A picturesque location is great but making space for an authentic connection between you and your partner during your engagement shoot is the key to getting truly great images (not to mention enjoying the experience as well).
